Sharon’s passion for movement and music led her to study dance at an early age. She danced professionally for 12 years (Performances in New York State, Ottawa, Montreal, Edmonton, Banff School of Fine Arts & Vancouver), and retired from dance after her body began to suffer from injuries that became progressively slower to heal. Her curiosity of how she could take better understand and take care of her body and how she could heal herself in a holistic way led her to studies in Kinesiology & Gerontology at SFU. Eventually, she was drawn to learning about Spa Therapies and her studies at Langara College led her to meeting Katolen Yardley – a Clinical Herbalist, who is well known throughout BC as a Teacher and Author of natural Herbal Medicine books. It was with Katolen’s guidance that Sharon learned how to integrate ancient herbal remedies and essential oils into her daily life and include medicinal herbs as part of her diet to boost immunity and enhance overall health.

In 2004, Sharon travelled to Thailand to partake in full time studies in Thai Massage, Reflexology and Thai Herbal Spa treatments with the ‘ITM Thai Massage School’ in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where she received her Teacher Certification. As an Certified Affiliate Instructor of the ‘ITM Thai Massage School’, Sharon travels to communities across Canada, from Halifax to Vancouver to teach Thai Massage and Reflexology to RMT’s, Yoga Instructors and Health & Wellness Practitioners. When Sharon isn’t travelling to teach or scuba dive, she enjoys living an off-grid life and tending her organic medicinal herb and vegetable gardens with husband Craig, their 2 cats and 22 free ranging chickens on Gambier Island. Every summer, Sharon hosts an Herbal Medicine Making weekend for the public with Katolen Yardley at her Gambier home, where they share their passion for wildcrafting and using herbs for health.
