It is with unmeasurable Joy, Gratitude and Humbleness, that I undertake Maa Yoga Studio and its family, with the assurance that together we will not only keep it as known, but make it grow in new ways that will fulfill the life and soul of our beloved community of students.

I am from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I did elementary and high school in a Catholic School of German Nuns. I got the degree “Bachelor in Theater Arts” at University. I worked for a decade, in the fashion design department of a prominent and distinguished family shoe business, which made me travel regularly to Paris, Milano, London and New York. For pleasure as well, I have been lucky to travel often and around the world since a very young; knowing so many different places and cultures, opened my mind in unbelievable ways, l love to travel. I was always attracted to the spiritual, human behaviours and mysteries of life, which took me to study 5 years of astrology. I researched and studied about psychology, philosophy, religions, metaphysics, quantic physics and the spiritual realm. That hasn’t stopped since, and I am passionate about it.

I met my Canadian husband in 2005 in South America. Our son was born in 2010 and by 2012 life, not choice, took us to Canada. Although sports and different types of gym were always part of my life, it was not till I was settled in my new home in North Vancouver (2013), that yoga became a regular practice in my life. As a newcomer to Canada, being a full time mom to my 2 year old baby, family and friends left behind, I joined Maa Yoga Studio to exercise my body and hoping to find a sense of belonging to the community. Little did I know then that yoga would give me much more than that, and that it would grow in me in such ways as to become a heart rooted passion.

The yoga practice healed my body, open my heart and calmed my mind. Yoga principles gave me “new eyes” to look at life, everything I had studied during the years got a richer dimension. After years of deep commitment, yoga led me to my daily meditation practice, and together “literally” changed my life; it encouraged me to live more fully and move me into profound changes in character. Maa gave me teachers, friends, a sense of family and lately a new exciting purpose in life.
